Josh is so right. And the other side of "entry level" or "early drinking" cab francs -- they are perfect for old geezers like me. I don't know that I'll have another 15 years to wait for a wine to be ready to drink. That being said, I fortunately still had two bottles of Amirault's 2005 Bourgueil La Coudraye, and your essay inspired me to dive into a bottle. Such a wonderful wine! Thanks for keeping me on my toes, Allison.😁
Michael, as always, thank you for your thoughtful comment! These early drinking styles are great for the budget AND if you don’t want to wait forever to drink them. My cellar is chock full of these wines. How cool you have an 2005 Coudraye! Great vintage and wine. I bet that is showing well right now. Be sure to report back. I would love to know how it’s showing. Many thanks again for your enthusiasm and support. ☺️
I’m so happy you brought up (more affordable) early drinkers or “entry level” wines - they’re great, especially for those of us who drink often and have a long shopping list 😅🍷
2021 “Les georges” from Chateau du Petit Thouars is the one I’m drinking now, yum!!!
Josh, you are not alone, my friend! I am thirsty and my shopping list is just a long. 😁 These early drinking styles are my bread and butter, and they just bring so much pleasure! I’m glad you are a fan too. And that Les Georges is from du Petit Thouars is delish! 😍
