Thanks for the in-depth review and the links! And, of course, the maps. ;^) I have a bottle of the '21 Mazurique -- D or H? Also, back to the 2005 La Coudraye. It was marvelous and I think it was in full stride. Dark fruit still present, in wonderful balance with refined acidity and silky tannins. My remaining bottle is now a "special occasion" bottle. Cheers!

Thank you, Michael! Glad you appreciated the post and those maps.😉 I haven’t checked in on the 21 Mazurique in a while, but I’m sure you could drink or hold it. I’ll see how many I got in my cellar, and if I can spare one to open now, I’ll be able to try it and give you a better answer. I’m glad the 05 Coudraye was drinking well! I’ve found the 05s to still be quite youthful consider their near two decades of age. Thank you again for reading and your support!

Thanks, Allison. I too love this wine and have also loved the Ted Vance essay about Arnaud (and Guiberteau.)

It is a terrific post by Ted. I’ve read that piece a few times and I always learn something new. If you haven’t been by for a visit to Arnaud’s domaine recently, it’s worth swinging by and trying the latest vintages!
