I’ve been drinking Armand lambert’s Cremant de Loire lately too, I’ll have to track down his Rosé when it’s time.

I still think 2021 is an underrated vintage, and it may need time to show its true colours. 20 or 30 years ago, 2021 would’ve been seen as a classic, solid vintage. Global warming has changed perceptions! Love that you’re enjoying Arnaud’s Crémant. That would be my house bubbles if it was available chez moi. ☺️
Bummer the timing was off, but you were THERE. Underneath it all, it's agriculture and it can't escape the whims of Mother Nature. Another great post, educational as always. Heck, I'm even starting to put together some of this Chinon/Bourgueil/Saumur terroir stuff through your discussions. And you hit all my personal favorite vignerons.
More Rose in 2024? OK by me! I'll keep an eye out for some d'Equinoxe. I just enjoyed a bottle of 2022 Chateau de Chaintres Les Hirondelles. Looking forward to your final assessment. Cheers from New Mexico, Allison.
Thank you for reading, Michael! It was really exciting to be there “on the front lines,” so to speak. Emotions were at an all time high because of the stress of the vintage, but many I spoke to were optimistic, though agreed the wines probably won’t have the lifespan of some other more recent vintages. I love rosé too! Actually Arnaud Lambert plans to make a Saumur Rosé this vintage, which is kind exciting. A first for him.
